Scope
This policy describes how Precision Ruler handles information when you use its on-screen ruler, angle tool, grid workspace, calibration, presets, and measurement records. No account is required.
Information Accessed and Stored
Precision Ruler processes measurements and settings locally on your device. It accesses display density information to estimate the physical scale of on-screen lengths and uses calibration adjustments you provide to refine that scale.
Locally stored information includes your preferred units, measurement mode, grid spacing and visibility, horizontal and vertical calibration factors, named presets, and measurements you choose to save or record in history. Measurement records include the measurement type, value, unit, creation time, calibration status, optional title and notes, and whether the record appears in Saved Measurements or History. Record identifiers are generated locally from timestamps.
Moving measurement guides does not automatically create history entries. You choose when to save a result or record a completed measurement in history.
The inspected application does not include collection of contacts, location, camera images, microphone recordings, advertising identifiers, or account details. Text you enter in titles, notes, or preset names remains part of the locally stored information.
How Information Is Used
The app uses this information to calculate and display lengths and angles, adjust measurement scales, remember your settings, apply presets, and let you review and manage saved results and history.
Collection, Sharing, Advertising, and Third Parties
The inspected application contains no mechanism that sends measurement records, notes, presets, or settings to the developer. No advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote crash-reporting SDKs were identified in the inspected source and dependency configuration. The app does not include a developer-operated account or cloud synchronization service.
The Android app declares Internet permission, but the inspected measurement features do not use it to transmit your information. Local storage failures may write diagnostic error details to Android system logs or, in the browser preview, the browser console; no remote reporting mechanism was identified.
Android backup is enabled in the app configuration. Depending on your device, operating system, and backup settings, Android may include app data in system-managed backups or device transfers. Those services operate under their providers’ policies and settings.
Local Storage and Security
The Android app stores settings and records in app-private SharedPreferences. The browser preview stores them in browser local storage. The inspected implementation does not add its own encryption to these stored values. Protection depends on your device or browser and its security settings. No storage method can guarantee complete security.
The inspected app does not transmit measurement data to a developer service, so there is no app data transmission for which encryption in transit can be described.
Retention and Deletion
The app has no automatic expiration period for locally stored settings, presets, or measurement records. They remain until you remove them, clear the app’s storage, or the operating system or browser removes that storage.
You can remove individual records from Saved Measurements or History and clear those lists separately. Clearing History keeps records that are also saved. Removing a record from Saved Measurements keeps it if it still appears in History. To remove a record from both views, remove it from both lists. You can delete presets and restore calibration to the device estimate in Settings.
To remove all locally stored app information, use Android’s app-storage controls. Uninstalling normally removes the app’s local data, but system-managed backup copies may remain or be restored according to your backup settings. For the browser preview, clear the relevant site’s browser storage. In-app deletion does not manage operating-system backups.
You may send privacy or deletion questions to mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The developer has no remote access mechanism in the inspected app to retrieve or delete records stored on your device; use the local controls described above.
Privacy Inquiries
If you email the privacy contact, you provide the information included in that message and your email address. Include only information necessary for your inquiry. Specific retention and handling arrangements for support correspondence have not been established by the available information.
Children’s Privacy
Precision Ruler provides general-purpose measurement tools. A specific intended age group has not been established in the supplied information. The inspected app contains no account registration or remote collection feature for children or other users. Locally entered titles and notes are handled as described in this policy.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its information-handling practices. Updated versions should be made available with the app’s privacy information. Review the current policy when using an updated version of Precision Ruler.
